TRF Intensive Courses

Promoted by the Fundo de Formação e Reinserção de  Tóxicodependentes de Coimbra (Drug abusers Training and Resinsertion Fund, Coimbra) and funded by the European Social Fund, the Intensive TRF Courses take place at Ar.Co between May and December of 1986. The course’s ample span of disciplinary areas include sculpture, jewellery, photography, video, sound, graphic design, painting, drawing and art history. In what concerns Ar.Co, the project is well adapted to its habitual interest in diversified publics. The program’s specificity and duration requires a fine organization on the part of the school, that puts together a large teaching team: Graça Costa Cabral, Maria Felizol, Jean Campiche, Sérgio Taborda, Tereza Seabra, Filomeno Pereira de Sousa, João Gaspar, Manuel Machado, Manuel Silveira Ramos, José Soudo, José Octávio Fernandes, Roberto Barbosa, Pedro Vilhena, Luis Galvão Teles, António Jorge Marques, José Pedro Caiado, Vítor Simões, Manuel Paula, Jorge Jacinto, José Mesquita, Rui Aço, Ana Leonor, Vasco Eloy, Luís França, Manuel Costa Cabral, Eduardo Trigo de Sousa, Rui Sanches and Manuel Castro Caldas. Selected works produced during this action are presented publicly at Ar.Co, Lisbon, in 1987 and (together with those of the European Social Fund Courses) at the Forum Picoas, on February 1988.
