Quel Air Clair...
As part of the commemorations of the school’s 35th anniversary, Ar.Co organizes the first public exhibition presenting a selection from the various areas of its Arts Collection. The show is called “’Quel Air Clair...’ / Works in Ar.Co's Collection” and has the support of Lisbon City Council, of the Espírito Santo Investment bank, of the Companhia de Seguros Tranquilidade and of the Fundação edp. The exhibition extends itself both in space and in time, with two sucessive openings (April 24 and June 25, 2008) at the Galeria Palácio Galveias and at the Pavilhão Preto do Museu da Cidade, which it occupies simultaneously. The title is extracted from a visual poem created by Salette Tavares in a 1973 printed edition, part of the collection: “Quel Air Clair Éclaire L’Air / Quelle Aire Claire Éclaire L’Ère”. 87 artists (from a total of 130 registered in the inventory at the time) are represented. There is drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewellery, illustration, visual poetry, printing and artists’ books.
