Summer Show/Autumn Show
To accompany the first Ar.Co Friends luncheon at Quinta de S. Miguel in 1996, the school sets up an exhibition that presents an ample selection of students’ work. A tradition of showing at Almada, in an informal setting, a yearly selection of pre-finalist students starts here. Each department will use its own criteria to choose the participants, individually or in the context of group exercises, eventually including students from different levels of the school’s programs. In 2007, the systematic difficulty of setting up the Summer Show with deadlines that coincide with the end of the previous school year, leads to the adoption of dates in the month of September. The “Summer Show – School Works” becomes the “Fall Show – Open Studio”, thus rendering more explicit the informal voccation of this presentation.
