Summer Lunch
An Ar.Co tradition since its very early days that is well suited to the school’s informal style has been social gatherings around a table. They become a sort of school program when Quinta de S. Miguel hosts a lunch on 13 July 1996 to launch the ‘Ar.Co Friends’ campaign. For several years, this summer lunch in a casual setting has brought together students, teachers, staff members, friends of friends and people interested in the school’s projects. An exhibition of selected works by students is also a fixed event on these occasions since the beginning thereby creating a tradition of having a public show in Almada of work by students at different stages of their 3-year course (Summer Exhibition, which later becomes the Autumn Exhibition).
